BULLION STITCH
1.
Knot your yarn, then thread it through the needle. Pierce the fabric from the underside to bring the needle up at point A.
2.
Insert the needle back into the fabric at point B. Leave a long loop of yarn on the surface of the fabric.
3.
Bring the needle partway up through the fabric at point C, (near point A but not through it.)
4.
Wrap the yarn nearest the needle around the needle in a counter-clockwise direction. Wrap it 5 to 10 times, depending on the desired length of the bullion stitch.
5.
Carefully pull the needle through the wrapped yarn. Use your fingers to pinch and guide the yarn through.
6.
Once the wraps are snug against the fabric, pull the needle down through point B to secure the bullion stitch.
7.
Repeat until your yarn is too short, then knot your yarn on the underside of the fabric.
